Our Story
OneThreadSilk began with a simple belief: that the most beautiful things in life are those that connect us to one another.
Our scarves are cut from 100% mulberry silk sourced in Bảo Lộc, a small city in Vietnam's Lâm Đồng province known for centuries as the country's Silk Capital. It's where the mulberry trees, the silkworms, and generations of weaving know-how all come together, long before a single thread reaches a scarf.
Behind every piece are Vietnamese artisans: women who have spent years at the loom, practicing a craft passed down from their mothers and grandmothers. The process today is aided by simple, small-scale equipment, but the skill and patience behind it haven't changed: hands-on, unhurried, and learned the traditional way.
From Bảo Lộc, every scarf travels to our home base in Ohio, where we hand-check each piece and finish every edge by hand. Hand-rolled, not machine-hemmed: a small detail that takes longer, but is what sets a real silk scarf apart from a mass-produced one.
